Did you know that on modern car, simply getting a new set of keys cut will not solve the problem? Electronic and computer technology are playing an increasing role in the vehicle security field.
Most cars built in the last 10 years have coded engine immobiliser system. The keys have a electronic code that matches a code held in the engine management system and is checked everytime the car or vehicle is started. If the key code is not right, the car will not start. So, if the keys are lost then you have yourself a major problem!
Until now, the car would have to go back to the vehicle dealer for time consuming and expensive reprogramming.
